Season 2 auction rules

Captain-only buying
Only the officially registered captain of each team can enter the protected auction room and submit purchases for that team.

Regular-auction retention
Before a regular auction, every team retains its registered captain and may retain one additional player from its existing squad.

Mega-auction retention
After every three-season cycle, HCL will hold a mega auction. The same limit applies: the captain plus one additional player.

Player pool
The official Season 2 auction was completed offline before the planned date, with all purchases and administrative allocations recorded by HCL.

Player-selected value
Every player starts with a default value of 50K HCL Coins and may choose a higher registration value in 10K increments, up to 450K HCL Coins.

Successful purchase
A purchase uses the value personally registered by that player and becomes final after the auction controller confirms the allocation. The amount is deducted from the buying team's available purse.

Unsold players
A player receiving no valid bid is marked unsold and may return later if HCL opens an accelerated or recall round.

Budget and squad limits
Opening purses were MSK 400K, TVK 400K, SS 350K, NN 300K and TRS 450K HCL Coins. These were the final captain-approved auction budgets.

Fair play
Captains must not share access codes or coordinate bids. HCL may cancel an invalid purchase or suspend auction access for rule violations.

Trade window
Verified captains may propose player trades with another team and include HCL Coins in the offer. The receiving captain must accept before HCL Administration can confirm the trade. Trading closes on 4 August 2026 at 11:59 PM IST.

Final authority
HCL Administration has final authority over eligibility, bid validity, ties, technical interruptions, and auction results.
