HCL Auction Regulations

Season 2 auction rules

These are original HCL rules inspired by franchise-cricket auctions. They are adapted for HCL and do not copy another league's regulations.

01

Captain-only buying

Only the officially registered captain of each team can enter the protected auction room and submit purchases for that team.

02

Regular-auction retention

Before a regular auction, every team may retain its captain plus any two additional players from its existing squad.

03

Mega-auction retention

After every three-season cycle, HCL will hold a mega auction. At a mega auction, each team may retain only its captain plus one additional player.

04

Player pool

The 12 eligible current players who are not registered captains enter the Season 2 auction pool. Each player must confirm their own registration through the protected player portal.

05

Player-selected value

Every player starts with a default value of 50K HCL Coins and may choose a higher registration value in 10K increments, up to the 400K team-purse ceiling.

06

Successful purchase

A purchase uses the value personally registered by that player and becomes final after the auction controller confirms the allocation. The amount is deducted from the team's 400K purse.

07

Unsold players

A player receiving no valid bid is marked unsold and may return later if HCL opens an accelerated or recall round.

08

Budget and squad limits

Every team receives a purse of 400K HCL Coins and must remain within it. Any further squad-size or bidding instructions will be issued by HCL Administration.

09

Fair play

Captains must not share access codes or coordinate bids. HCL may cancel an invalid purchase or suspend auction access for rule violations.

10

Final authority

HCL Administration has final authority over eligibility, bid validity, ties, technical interruptions, and auction results.

Protected auction access

Players register. Captains purchase.

Each eligible player starts at 50K and registers their preferred value through a private login. Registered captains use a separate protected room to purchase players for their team.
